Keeping it brief
Old
- Born poor, in the depths of Thanalan, Griffin was a beast of burden, and spent most of his time lifting rocks.
- One day a merchant noticed his predigious size and asked him to escort a caravan of goods to market, to which was found burnt and its occupants slaughtered by Amal'jaa.
- One of these occupants being his significant other of the time, Griffin found a discarded axe, and set out. Trapping and killing as many as he could until his stomach grumbled. It was then he learned that the Brass Blades got paid doing such things, and leveraged himself into their employ.
- Kicked out of the Blades for stepping on corrupt shoes, Griffin fled with the assistance of an airship, only for that airship to be hijacked by skypirates. Seeing oppurtunity, Griffin joined up, and it was the second most profitable decision he made. Guns, drugs, whatever would move across the sky without port authority notice was at his fingertips.New
- After a bloody falling out with the crew, he left, returning to Ul'dah under the auspicies of fighting in the arena. After two fights, both savage beatings between mammoth men, Griffin arranged a deal with the authorities to enter the Immortal Flames, and charged in head first to Carteneau until the world changed.
- Motivated by how quickly it could all end before he could do something about it, Griffin walked with the Crystal Braves until they turned their blades on their own.
- Leaving that mess alone to join the fight in Bozja, Griffin sought freedom through battle, and still carries that same bloodlust with him for the rest of his life. To have a single thought and not many is an honor reserved for worthy opponents on special occasions. He is peaceful otherwise and does not seek out wanton violence for concern of the complications it can bring. It's just a treat.
